How to make online Payment of Electricity Bill in West Bengal State

There is two Electricity companies in erstwhile West Bengal State, one is State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) and second is West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL). The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (WBSEDCL) has provided 70% of Electricity in rural and urban areas of West Bengal State and distribution the hydro generation of electricity. The WBSEDCL restructured on 1st April 2007 under the provisions of West Bengal Power Reform Scheme. It is also the nodal Agency of the Government of West Bengal. It undertaking rural Electrification task in the state with purpose of providing access of electricity to all rural households in the state in line with the National Rural Electricity Policy.

The WBSEDCL is solely responsible for distribution of electricity in West Bengal State, it has been continually evolving to position itself as a leading Power Utility Services Organization of the country. The Procedure to Make Online Payment of Electricity Bill through WBSEDCL

Now the customer of WBSEDCL can make online payment of Electricity Bill in West Bengal State. The Department of Electricity Board, Government of West Bengal has launched the official website to providing the facility of online submission of electricity bill. It provided the online gateway through which all customer of WBSEDCL can pay their due bill amount through using of their Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking. This website provided 3 ways to make payment of electricity bill. But remember users are requested to register their mobile numbers to avail online value added services such as online payment, print out the duplicate bill copy etc. Here we provide you the following steps to make online payment of electricity bill.

After click at above link, a home web page of WBSEDCL will open.Click at “Online Payment” option on the right side of down menu. On the next page, you will see 3 payment gateway such as E-Payment (For Registered Consumers), Quick Pay (Energy Bill) and Quick Pay Quotation (For new connection and load enhancement) to make online payment of electricity bill. Select the option which is convenient for you.

Step 1, Through E-payment (For Registered Consumers)-
For make a payment of electricity bill through using e-payment gateway, consumers should be registered in the official website. If you are not registered user yet so first you will have to make an account for registration. After complete process of Registration then make E-payment for Electricity Bill.

Step 2, Through Quick Payment Option-
For make a payment through Quick payment gateway to submit your electricity bill, enter your Consumer ID number which written in your electricity bill. Then enter the above Captcha in next box and click to proceed. In the next page check your details and click next then you will be redirecting in the next page. Here you select your bill details and make payment through using your debit/credit card or net banking. After completed the payment process, take a print out of receipt for the same.

Step 3, Through Quick Pay (New Connection)-
If your Mobile number and E-mail ID is not registered in the department then you can go for to Quick Pay option to done your online payment of Electricity Bill. Here you need to provide your 10 digit Application Number, enter it in given box. In the next box enter the above captcha text and provide your E-mail ID and Mobile Number in orderly boxes then verify. You will receive the verification number either on your mobile number or on your email ID. submit to verification then make your online payment of Electricity Bill.
